We hold "Scholarship Auditions" once a year (in September), where one full scholarship for a place within West End Kids is available. Read below for further details, application forms, and for details of how to apply.

WEK SCHOLARSHIP AWARD:

One full scholarship is available, running from September 2008 to September 2009. Scholarship auditions are held each September with those previously awarded scholarships required to re-audition.

HOW TO APPLY:

Applying for a WEK Scholarship is simple and straight-forward.

1. Register for an audition online (visit Auditions page)
2. When registering, specify that you wish to audition for a WEK Scholarship
3. Download the form (available here or at the bottom of the page)
4. Complete the form and supporting material and bring it along to your audition.

ELIGIBILITY:

All boys and girls aged between 10 and 16 years of age on 7th September 2008.

CRITERIA:

Applicants must attend an audition, run alongside the auditions for new company members. The “WEK Scholarship” is awarded to:

1) The performer whom the directors feel displays the most potential
2) The performer whom the directors feel would benefit most
3) Demonstrates passion and dedication for performance.

In addition to attending the audition, applicants must write an essay (1 side of A4), detailing, in their own words, what they hope to achieve during their time with West End Kids. This must be brought with them to the audition.

APPLICATION PROCESS:

Applicants must download an application form from the westendkids.co.uk website and bring the completed form along with them to the audition. The form should be completed fully and include a passport sized photograph in addition to your essay.

DECISION PROCESS:

Scholarship auditions are decided by the West End Kids Founder & Artistic / Musical Director, Martin-Gwyn Williams in consultation with Choreographer, Emma Griffiths. All decisions are final and are not subject to appeal.

NOTIFICATION:

You will be notified of our decision quickly. Your audition will take place on Sunday 7th September, and you will find out the result of your audition on Monday 9th September.

PLACES:

If you are not awarded a full scholarship, you may be awarded a half scholarship at the discretion of the Directors. You may also be awarded a fee-paying place within West End Kids should be successfully audition.
